What is Addiction?
- Addiction is a spiritual sickness, a habit, a sin problem which has taken control of us, over which we have little or no control. We find ourselves in a position of being unable to break the habit. The cause of addiction is basically a sickness of man's inner being, called the spirit.
- Addiction leads to compulsive behavior. As one pursues that habit in a desperate attempt to relieve the inner hurt, an unhealthy hebit is developed that cannot be stopped ond life spins more and more out of control.
- Addiction has no age, sex, race, religion or income barriers.
- Addiction affects every family in America.
- Addiction is not limited to drugs, alcohol, sex, or gambling - it involves all bad habits and inappropriate behaviors. It constitutes anything that interferres with our walk with Jesus.
